We spent a fabulous week in Jackson Hole, WY with great friends, ski partners, and snowmobilers, the Coveys! We made lots of memories, ate some great food, (Be looking for Nicole's book idea..."Dining with the Gillespie's") played in the snow, and spotted some great wildlife. It was a successful trip. We had a blast and no one was injured in the process. A little sore maybe, but all worth it!

Sassy Diva!
Happy Birthday David and Dixie!
Moving backwards a little, we wanted to add a few events that have already happened this year. On January 5, David and Dixie celebrated another birthday. Travis and Andrea surprised them with a family birthday gathering at Brendelay Grill in Arlington. It was a fun evening! They even got balloons and a cake with a clown on it!
Maybree was the clean up crew! She enjoyed pushing the broom around the restaurant!
Yellow Snow
The Gillespies decided to start 2011 off with a resolution to enter the blogging world. So here it goes...
We got four inches of snow last night in Eads, TN. Schools and roads were closed today, so we stayed home and played in the snow! Maybree made a snow angel, ran around with the dogs, and even took a trip around the neighborhood on the 4-wheeler. After her nap, we decided to make "snow cream." This was a first for all of us. We even decided to make it chocolate flavor, per dad's request. Maybree was a little skeptical until we got a taste on her tongue. Once that happened, she didn't want to leave the bowl alone! The snow cream suggestion came from a friend. This was the recipe we used...
SNOW CREAM
1 gallon of fresh clean snow
1 cup of sugar
1 T of vanilla
2 cups of milk
Mix together first three ingredients and then add milk til you reach desired consistency. From there we also added Hershey's syrup. YUM!
See below for some pictures of Maybree eating snow cream and playing in the snow! Just watch out for the yellow snow!
